Dragonfly opens New York office with Steffi Probst and Goran Maksimovic
Dragonfly Ltd (‘Dragonfly’) is pleased to announce the opening of an office in New York City. It will act as a platform to widen the services we offer to our existing clients and to drive growth, particularly from law firms, investment banks and asset managers. The office will be headed by Steffi Probst who is joined by another director of the firm, Goran Maksimovic.
It is part of a wider strategy to become the leading provider of pre and post-transactional due diligence and investigative services. Steffi Probst has spent her entire career in the intelligence and investigations industry, most recently as the head of Dragonfly’s Americas practice in Washington, DC. She has considerable experience helping banking, private equity and external counsel with anti-corruption and anti-money laundering investigations.
Steffi said: “I’m thrilled to be in New York and closer to the clients I have worked with for many years. I am looking forward to deepening and broadening those relationships and forming new ones.”
Steffi is joined by Goran Maksimovic who is the head of Dragonfly’s Disputes and Investigations practice. A qualified UK attorney with 15 years of experience in law and investigations, Goran’s move to New York is a direct response to our clients’ increased demand for post-transactional investigative services.

Steffi Probst
Steffi is a director and heads our New York City office. She has more than 13 years of experience in the intelligence and investigations industry, having worked with international investigative teams throughout her career. She joined our Europe team in 2012 and transferred to our Washington, DC office in 2013. There she headed the Business Intelligence & Investigations Americas practice for three years before opening our New York office in 2019.
Prior to joining Dragonfly, Steffi worked for another London-based business intelligence company for four years and subsequently as a freelance investigator from 2010 to 2012. Born in Mexico, Steffi has lived in the US, UK, Germany and Austria.
Goran Maksimovic
Goran is a director and the head of our Disputes and Investigations practice. He joined Dragonfly in 2015 and worked in London until relocating to the New York office in 2019. Goran has particular expertise in gathering evidence and intelligence in complex cross-border disputes, typically acting for US and global law firms.
Before joining Dragonfly, Goran worked in the contentious situations practice at another risk consultancy. Goran is a qualified UK lawyer who started his career practising commercial litigation.
