Terrorism in the Sahel: A worsening crisis

terrorism-in-the-sahel-a-worsening-crisis-main-original

Attacks by jihadist groups have become more frequent across Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso over the last year. Groups affiliated to Al-Qaeda and Islamic State are also moving beyond established operating areas in these countries. A French drawdown is likely to further embolden them, and weaken counter-terrorism efforts.

In this webinar, we will examine the strategy of jihadist groups in the Sahel and how this is likely to affect operations in the region. We will provide an assessment of the threat to capital cities in the region, including in Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal. Finally, we will give our outlook on the threat of terrorism in the Sahel, including how this is likely to be shaped by a French drawdown.

We look forward to you joining. Places are limited and preference will be given to Dragonfly clients.
