Security risks around the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia

  • 09:30 to 11:00

The World Cup will take placeĀ at a time of heightened tension between Russia and the West. This is unlikely to improve before the tournament, which will run from 14 June to 15 July in 11 cities across western Russia. Security risks appear to be as much of a concern as the risk of state agencies targeting foreign nationals attending the event.

In this briefing, we will discuss security risks around the tournament, particularly hooliganism, terrorism, crime and the threat state agencies pose.

We hope you can join us to discuss these issues. If you are unable to attend in person, we will also broadcast the briefing as a live webinar and make a podcast available. Please register using the link below. Preference will be given to Dragonfly Intelligence clients and security professionals.
